Visiting the Felbers and Grandma Libby for lunch in Tel Aviv - then hosting the Blumenthals in Mitzpeh for Dinner

L-R: Aunt Merrill, Grandma Libby, Ezra, Noam and Elazar
Most of the Felber family came to Eretz Yisroel for Rachel's medical school graduation. Grandma and Aunt Merrill were scheduled to come to us for Shabbos, but since Uncle Frank, Rachel and Lisa were flying out Thursday night after their Yom Tov Sheini of Shavuos, we decided to spend our Isru Chag (since the kids had off from school anyway) in Tel Aviv. Abba took the four older children for most of the day at the Crown Plaza on Yarkon Street in Tel Aviv, right off of the Mediterranean. Uncle Frank's cousin Joe from Ranana also was visiting at the time.

We arrived around 11 AM and started with some conversation in the lobby. Then we headed downstairs to the beach and played a little frisbee while we waited for everyone to arrive. Next, when everyone was ready we took a nice stroll by the marina, which was like a landbridge that jutted way out into the sea, and we were able to look at all the nice fishing boats (although the kids didn't get a chance to go into the water or go on a boat - maybe next time).

Left to Right in age and size order with the Marina in the background
We did manage to find a Kosher Pizza place on the corner of Jabotinsky and Ben-Yehudah street and we also stopped for ice cream on the way back to the hotel.
Elazar wanted Zeitim on his pizza
So Noam said "I want Zeitim on my pizza too", but later realized he doesn't really like olives on his pizza

We left for home a little after 4:30 PM and made it back to Mitzpeh for 6:00 PM Mincha with about a minute to spare. After Mincha, Abba drove back to Emek Refaim to pick up cousin George and Barbara for dinner. They were here visiting for a week in Israel and this was the best night to get together. George was volunteering at a dental clinic in the area. Ima made bagels and a nice spread and we caught up on the past few years. All the kids got to stay up late until Abba drove our guests back to their apartment in Yerushalayim. It was a school night, but the kids had been off for school for the past three days, and Friday was a short day, so we made an exception for family visitors.

Stay tuned for Shabbos with Grandma and Aunt Merrill
