| L-R: Aunt Merrill, Grandma Libby, Ezra, Noam and Elazar |
Most of the Felber family came to Eretz Yisroel for Rachel's medical school graduation. Grandma and Aunt Merrill were scheduled to come to us for Shabbos, but since Uncle Frank, Rachel and Lisa were flying out Thursday night after their Yom Tov Sheini of Shavuos, we decided to spend our Isru Chag (since the kids had off from school anyway) in Tel Aviv. Abba took the four older children for most of the day at the Crown Plaza on Yarkon Street in Tel Aviv, right off of the Mediterranean. Uncle Frank's cousin Joe from Ranana also was visiting at the time.
We arrived around 11 AM and started with some conversation in the lobby. Then we headed downstairs to the beach and played a little frisbee while we waited for everyone to arrive. Next, when everyone was ready we took a nice stroll by the marina, which was like a landbridge that jutted way out into the sea, and we were able to look at all the nice fishing boats (although the kids didn't get a chance to go into the water or go on a boat - maybe next time).
We did manage to find a Kosher Pizza place on the corner of Jabotinsky and Ben-Yehudah street and we also stopped for ice cream on the way back to the hotel.
