Happy Purim Everyone

Ezra wanted to be a shotair [policeman] this Purim and Elisheva wanted to be just like Ima.

We had a Purim Meshulash -- three days Purim weekend -- in Yerushalayim this year. Abba heard Megillah at Yeshiva and Ima went with the kids across the street to Be'er Miriam. Friday morning Abba took the kids around the neighborhood to give out Matanot L'evyonim.

Shabbos we went to the yeshiva for lunch and spent the In Shabbos at Derech Etz Chaim with Joshua and the Yeshiva

On Sunday we delivered Mishloach Manot all around the neighborhood. We had a small family seudah at home. The Shwardrons came to visit from Ramat Beit Shemesh although they were officially not on Purim mode. The kids and Abba also visited R' Romm at his Purim Seudah before Abba went to the Derech Etz Chaim Yeshiva Seudah.

A Tribute to the Snow

The thermometer hit 87 today on Sunday March 9th in Yerushalayim. Some of the boys from the yeshiva in Columbus told us that on the very same day Ohio was hit with over 20 inches of snow. That reminded us that not so long ago we had snow here in Har Nof -- and we had forgot to post the pictures.

Here is Elisheva and Ezra in the front yard of our apartment building having fun in the snow. School for the kids was closed for two days as public transportation was halted and teachers couldn't get to school

Abba was at yeshiva at the time, because a little snow can't get in the way of Abba's sedarim. However, since I was unavailable for pictures the kids built a snowman to stand in for me. I'm glad they didn't use my Shabbos hat and other clothes.

January Visitors from America

We received visitors from from San Diego. Aunt Merril and Rachel were here for a week or so. They came for pizza one night while they came to visit Elisheva and Ezra and drop off some luggage that wouldn't fit on the plane coming back from Eilat. After a few days of fun in the sun down south they came back to visit us again, collect their things and head for the airport.

We also received visitors from Far Rockaway. Yanky and Faigy Mirocznik and the kids visited us in our new apartment in Har Nof. They were here in Israel for the first time in a long time. We had a pleasant lunch together and the kids enjoyed playing together.
